In 2012 I spent 3 months in Ghana and was bitten hard by the travel bug. It changed my life and I haven't looked back.

I had to go back to school for two years to finish my degree but traveled as much as I could in that time and, having finally graduated, I recently departed on the grandest of adventures. Now I am traveling the world solo experiencing as many wonderful places and meeting as many wonderful people as I can.

For every word there will be a thousand pictures and, while I talk mostly about my adventures and often forget to give location and transit details, you can feel free to message me for details about the places I have been or the adventures I have had. I am always happy to extend a hand to a fellow traveler.

The baptistry ceiling mosaics in Ravenna, Italy. One of the 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites in Ravenna. Christ being baptized in the river Jordan while the 12 apostles wait to deliver gifts to Christ’s throne.
The building was once attached to an Arian cathedral. The ceiling mosaics are all that are left of the interior decorations. They are fabulous though- that’s all real gold.

The garden behind the Basilica of Saint Apollinare Nuovo.
I love how many medieval basilicas have small vin yards right in their backyards so there is a wonderful green space dripping in vines hidden inside the stone compounds.

The spectacular interior of the Basilica of Saint Apollinare Nuovo, in Ravenna, Italy.

The mosaics in Ravenna are just incredible. Within the tiny town there are 8, count them 8, UNESCO heritage sites. Each more amazing than the last.

I came across a church in Munich that had been decorated like a garden. Frosted with origami swans and real potted plants it was a beautiful balance between the spiritual and natural.

The Glockenspiel in Munich. I was great to see it glock… and spiel.

The view from the top of Munich’s glockenspiel/look out tower. It is quite the view of the city and the tiny ant humans below.

Vaals, near Aachen. Where Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands meet. A beautiful little town and a wonderful little hike up to the marker stone.

I hiked up to the point where Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands meet. For just a moment I was in 3 countries at once.

The inside of the Aachen cathedral and the men who made it.

It really is one of the most spectacular buildings
